Finger-prick test for coronavirus

If you want to check yourself or your employees for COVID-19 (commonly known as the coronavirus), this easy-to-use blood test kit will allow you to do so in just 15 minutes.

These rapid testing kits allow you to confirm whether or not an individual is infected – and isolate them quickly if they are. The highly accurate test is similar to that used by the CCDC (Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention) in China.

Our single-use kits are designed to test one person per kit. If you are infected, you may pass the coronavirus to others before you even notice any symptoms, so it’s important to test early.

How does the COVID-19 blood test work?

This test looks for two different antibodies in your blood: IgM and IgG.

IgM is the first antibody that appears when you are exposed to a virus or other antigen. This is followed by IgG, which promotes immunological memory and long-term immunity.

Here’s how to use the test kit:

  • Prick the test subject’s finger to take a blood sample
  • Place the blood sample in the sample well provided
  • Add 2 to 3 drops of buffer to the sample well
  • Wait for 15 minutes, then read your results

Your results will tell you whether COVID-19 antibodies are present in your blood.

When you read your results, you should see 1 to 3 lines. The control line (C) should always be visible – if this doesn’t appear, your test will need to be repeated.

The other two lines indicate the presence of the two different antibodies mentioned above. Line G means you tested positive for IgG antibodies; line M means you tested positive for IgM antibodies
