Nikos Prapas, MD, M.Sc., PhD

Professor of Obstetrics - Gynaecology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Dr Nikos Prapas graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki and specialised in Obstetrics – Gynaecology. He was one of the pioneers of embryo transfer under continuous transabdominal ultrasound monitoring in IVF. He’s written several scientific papers on the topic of infertility.

Yannis Prapas, MD, PhD

Professor of Obstetrics - Gynaecology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Dr Yannis Prapas graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki and specialised in Obstetrics – Gynaecology. He has visited a number of pioneering IVF centres and in 1996 completed a one-year fellowship in the work of the Department of Reproductive Endocrinology at Yale University. Dr Yannis has published many papers in international scientific reviews on the topic of embryo implantation during an IVF cycle.

Yannis Panagiotidis, PhD

Clinical Embryologist, Head of the IVF Laboratory.

Yannis Panagiotidis has worked as an embryologist since graduating from the Biology Department of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, and became the lab manager of IAKENTRO IVF laboratories in 2003. He has worked in IFV clinics worldwide and completed his PhD in the cryopreservation of embryos and oocytes by the vitrification method in 2013.

Maria Goudakou, M.Sc, PhD

Embryologist

Maria Goudakou has been working at the IAKENTRO IVF laboratory since completing her degree in Biology. She is trained in all assisted reproduction techniques including, oocyte retrieval, sperm processing and the vitrification of embryos and oocytes. She also has a PhD from the Medical School of the University of Crete (Greece) since 2015.

Antonis-Marios Goudis, MSc

Biologist

Antonis Goudis completed his studies in Biology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and went on to specialise in Applied Genetics and Bio-diagnosis. He works at IAKENTRO as a Biologist.

Theodora Pavlidou, PhD

Embryologist

Theodora Pavlidou has a degree in Biology and completed her post-graduate training in Reproductive Medicine & Biology. In 2012 she completed her doctoral dissertation at the University of Rome, on the topic of ‘Stem cells and guiding their differentiation with metformin’.

Michalis Bilouni, MD

Obstetrician, Gynaecologist.

Michalis Bilouni graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and he completed his specialisation in Surgical-Obstetric Gynaecology at Ippokrateio General Hospital of Thessaloniki. Michalis Bilouni has been working at IAKENTRO since 1997, in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine – IVF Department.

Konstantinous Ravanos, MD

Obstetrician, Gynaecologist.

Konstantinos Ravanos graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University, Thessaloniki with honours. He has a Diploma in ‘Surgical Endoscopy in Gynaecology’, and he later completed his post-graduate studies at the University of Bristol on the topic of ‘Reproduction and Development’. He works as an Ob-Gyn specialist in reproduction at the IAKENTRO IVF clinic.

Chrysa Gakou, Msc

Obstetrician, Gynaecologist.

Chrysa Gakou was born and raised in Thessaloniki. She studied Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Thessaly, graduating in 2008. In 2010, she earned a Master of Science degree on Molecular Biology – Genetics and Diagnostic markers. Between 2011 and 2015, she worked at the Molecular Oncology Laboratory of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; in mid-2015 she joined IAKENTRO.
